Sage, the Tail Waggin’ Tutor

Fridays at 3:15 pm – June 20 and July 18 at the Library
Sage the Tail Waggin’ Tutor loves listening to children read. Do you think you could pick out a story she’d like?

This program provides children with the opportunity to practice their reading skills in a supportive environment. By reading aloud to a dog, children can eliminate the fear of judgment and feel more at ease. The presence of an attentive dog allows them to focus on their reading without distraction. As a result, their reading improves through practice, while also building self-esteem and creating positive associations with reading.

Sage’s human, Tory Suehs, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with children and families in both residential and outpatient mental health settings.
